\nno food no clean water to drink no medicine no jobs no bread no electricity no money no fuel to stay warm no life<\/p>\n

this is gaza.<\/p>\n

gaza does not need a another blog post.<\/p>\n

the people of gaza do not deserve to die a slow death.<\/p>\n

israel seals up the border, then opens it up a little for a little bit only to admit a limited amount of aid. then israel acts like its doing us a favor. less then 5% of all the supplies that gaza needed were let in the past few hours.<\/p>\n

i could go into the statistics about how many gazans live under the poverty line how many are unemployed how many have died how many are malnourished etc etc.<\/p>\n

but what is the use? i know these facts. you know these facts (the un orgs have kept records of these facts. ban ki moon himself picked up the phone and ever so pleasently expressed concern about gaza). we know that all this is imply a symptom of a larger problem: a policy israeli apartheid which sees palestinians as ultimately inferior and underserving of their most basic right to live on their land in peace and stability. this problem is not new. this problem did not start with the establishment of the israeli state- but long before. this is about colonialsm. and while this is going on our failed leadership – if we can even call it that- is bickering over who will get the larger piece of the pie. the sad thing is none of them realize that the pie is gone. we have no land- only prisons. look at the west bank- the settlemnts, the wall, the jewish onlly roads. look at jerusalem- the judaization of neighborhoods the eviction of palestinians from their homes. look at hebron, where palestinians pracically live under house arrest. look at the palestinians within israel, look at the twenty plus laws which have deemd them to be third class citizens. look at the palestinians in refugee camps in gaza, the west bank lebanon jordan syra. look at the palestinians stuck on in no man’s land between iraq and syria \/ iraq and jordan. look at the world, how we have lost our humanity such that we can easily turn a blind eye to human suffering across the globe. look at how such action is quickly justifed by the israeli government – in their books palestinian babies are already found to be guilty of a crime even before they leave their mother’s womb.<\/p>\n

ladies and gentelman if this aint racism then i don’t know what is.<\/p>\n
