May be you wonder what I’m doing. There are no pictures yet, so you have no clue. I’m in Strasbourg, in France. I have been elected subsitute member of the Council of Europe, which is like a huge parliament on human rights and democracy. It represents 800 million people. Here all the reports are made on the situation of human rights, the position of minorities like migrants and muslims, the treatment of prisoners and refugees, equal rights for women and handicapped people, defence of children etc. And here all the agreements are made that are signed by countries. I’m a member of the Unified Left Party. It is very interesting to be here, because I get to meet people form many countries, all concerned about human rights.

\nI have a fight with the computers here, that is why there are no pictures yet. There will be an urgent debate on the Middle East on thursday. Since our only true Palestinian, Mr. Ali Rashid Khalil, who is from Italy is ill, I’m requested to speak on Palestine and Israel as a representative of the United Left. For that reason I will stay an extra day and go back home on friday. I will get four minutes to speak and I will try to use them well. I will let you know what I said afterwards.
