Letter from Fatma

Dear Anja,

Words cannot describe what happened yesterday . People were not expecting that they wouldn’t see each other again. Images of yesterday are actually bloodcurdling when innocents were targeted with no reason. Those families neither fired Israeli soldiers nor did they bomb Israeli towns by rockets.

Life in Baithanoun has been drawn by blood and destruction, Terror has been running into ribs, scattered remains are still being searched for. Hospital couldn’t receive more cases that people were treated on the floor. Some martyrs are still unknown , because their families could not leave home. Observing all those images, I have been chocked doubting that we will live in peace as long as Israel commits her massacres against civilians turning the could shoulder to international resolutions and to all recalls of humanity.
My children did not believe that what happened wondering if they will face the same destiny. They could not accept to eat or to run any aspect of life while seeing broken toys and bloody pools. My little daughter Nour did not leave the TV, and did not accept to have her breakfast. Indeed, I am along telling her that Israelis do not target people at homes. She is always afraid of what she hears beside our house, but I could not be able to convince her that we are safe.
Generally, we could not know where we are going to as long as the smell of death is hovering over us .

Regards,

Fatma

  1. Dearr Fatma, My heart cries out for you, when I hear you telling about the reaction of your children at the massacre. I just can’t imagine what you are all going through. I have no words to comfort you and no hope to give you. I can only let you know that we are thinking of you and your children and praying you will all stay safe. I wish you all the best and I pray that you will be able tot keep hold to your strength.

    Salaam Ina

  2. Fatma, I wrote letters (again) to Dutch and European government, expressing my huge anger and concern. This has to stop. I hope lots of others do the same and enlarge the pressure on their factions.

I feel so very sorry, especially when you and also Ramadan tell us what damage it does to the children. It is unacceptable.
