Afgaande op de verklaarde doelstellingen van de Nederlandse regering zou men verwachten dat de commissie-Goldstone in Nederland een trouwe bondgenoot vindt. Zo laat de regering, die aan het grondwettelijk gebod is onderworpen de internationale rechtsorde te bevorderen, geen gelegenheid voorbijgaan om Den Haag als legal capital of the world te profileren. Zij is trots op de aanwezigheid van internationale instellingen die de bestrijding van straffeloosheid beogen.
